PDFLUME / TRUST & TRANSPARENCY

Cookies & privacy settings

A small storage footprint, with optional diagnostics off by default.

What is used today

We do not use application cookies, ad trackers or third-party analytics scripts. Optional first-party usage statistics use Cloudflare only after a new explicit choice. Your browser stores that choice and, if enabled, a local diagnostic history.

Current application storage
Storage	Purpose	Duration
`pdflume-privacy-v1` Local storage	Remember your current choice for optional usage statistics and its consent version. Created only when you save a choice; older local-only choices do not enable transmission.	Until you replace the choice or clear this site’s storage.
`pdflume-events` Session storage	Local technical history, capped at 100 events. A separate, restricted set of event categories is sent only with current consent; documents and file names are never sent.	Until disabled or the tab session ends; session restore may retain it.

With consent, Cloudflare D1 stores daily usage counts for up to 30 days. Security-only keyed IP counters expire within 48 hours. Turning statistics off stops future transmission and clears local history; aggregate counts contain no visitor identifiers and cannot be selectively deleted. Provider service logs and recovery backups follow their own retention policies.

When you choose a language or dismiss a language suggestion, PDFLume remembers that decision in pdflume-language-v1 on this device. It is not used for analytics.

Your privacy choices

All tools work with optional diagnostics turned off. We do not currently load advertising or third-party analytics.

Privacy preference

Stored only when you save a choice, so this browser can remember it.

Functional

Allow optional usage statisticsSend limited tool events to PDFLume for daily counts by language, tool and sample type. No documents, file names, email addresses or visitor IDs. Aggregates expire after 30 days. A local history keeps up to 100 events.

Current setting: optional usage statistics off.

Clear saved data

Use the controls above to stop diagnostics and clear this tab’s event history. To remove the saved preference too, clear website data for PDFLume in your browser settings. This does not delete files you already downloaded.

Why there is no advertising consent banner yet

No advertising or third-party analytics scripts are loaded. Optional usage counts wait for your choice here and do not grant permission for advertising. All file conversion stays on your device whether statistics are on or off.
